You who are since the beginning
The image of the invisible God,
Firstborn over all of creation
You were in the beginning with God.
All things were made through you
And without you nothing was made that was made.
In you is life and that same life
Is the true light that gives light
To all who come into the world.
The light shines in the darkness
And the darkness does not comprehend it.
You came into the world,
You came to your own,
That the world may be as one
As you are one.
God in you,
You in God,
We in you,
And you in us.
That your joy may be fulfilled in us,
That we may be made perfect in you.
One light,
One life,
One body,
One love,
For God so loved the world.
