Scene is unfolding
Here in my home state?
Life as it should be
Isn’t as it should be.
Man hunt
Can I be blunt?
Life’s gift
Falls too lightly
On deaf ears.
Hearing voices
Accusing voices
Words too disturbing
For a mind
So fragile
A body
Too agile
Firing shots
Confused.
So why do we allow it?
Possession is
Nine tenths
But what’s
The rest of it
What possesses
One man
To do what he can
While another
Just
Throws it all away?
