The peaceful winter woods
Will soon give way to spring
Songbirds at the tops of trees
Will flutter about and sing
And I the warm sun on my skin
Will thoroughly enjoy
But in my heart, there’s a small lament
Like that of a little boy
Who runs and plays with absolute glee
All through these winter woods
And I think I might want to capture those moments
If I only could.
But life like seasons always moves on
So I’ll adapt to the muddy trails
I’ll get on my bike
I’ll go for a hike
And begin to tell a brand new tale.
